Dal Tadka

An easy, high fiber Dal Tadka recipe

Ingredients:

Instapot Ingredients:

  • 1 can of diced tomatoes

  • 1 medium red onion

  • 3-4 TBSP Cumin

  • 2-3 TBSP Coriander Powder

  • 3 TBSP Turmeric

  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds

  • 1 Cup Toor Dal

  • 1 cup water

For Tempering:

  • 1 TBSP Cumin

  • 2-3 TBSP Ghee

  • 1 TBS Coriander Seeds

  • 3-4 TBSP Minced Garlic

  • 1/2-1 tsp Hing

Recipe:

  1. Line the bottom of the instapot with your ghee.

  2. Add in all the Instapot ingredients, stir well.

  3. Set your Instapot to high pressure for 6 minutes. Let it cook.

  4. While that is cooking, add ghee to a small pot on the stove. Once hot, add in the temper ingredients and stir around

  5. Once ready, add the tempered ingredients to the dal. Stir. Enjoy!
